Did I mention that sushi is one of my favorite? These little adorable delicious cute things just topped my favorite list for many years now and I am still hooked on as before. If you want some real good sushi here in Amsterdam (Kaiko still my favorite), be prepared to pay some extra money for it.
In order to be more friendly to my wallet, I make sushi at home. It will take some time, but for sure I know you will love it. After all, homemade food just tastes better. Don’t you think?
KOREAN SUSHI – When making kimbap or sushi at home, there is no exact science to it compared to baking. Ingredients for a cake that is not measured correctly equals to failure. This is as many of you may recall an ordinary dining out experience, but there is more in the dining scene. Let me share some of my dining experience that I really love.
When I was in Hong Kong, sushi was one of the types of food that I have eaten the most. So it took me a while to organize all the sushi photos. This is the first batch: sushi @ Monster sushi. Located in Langham Place (Mong Kok) with the longest indoor escalator in Hong Kong I believe. The sushi weren’t monstrous big, but monstrous good-looking so I had to eat them ;)
Sushi is like art on a plate and temari sushi is the kawaii (cute) version, if you ask me. Temari sushi is a small ball-like sushi that you can easily make at home. And if you are throwing a little party then I am sure it would impress your guests ;) Not recommended if you don’t have much time to prepare your food, it takes quite a bit of time to make these. Especially if you are planning to use different kind of fish and/or toppings.
Kaiko, a small Japanese restaurant in Amsterdam (Netherlands). After hearing many good reviews from my friends, I finally got the chance to eat in this restaurant. And indeed this is what sushi supposed to be.
